AVP Merchandising (Retail)

About the Company:

A leading retail company is looking for AVP Merchandising to lead and manage the merchandising team within fashion/sport/apparel brands to ensure the achievement of maximum profitability whilst adhering to standards of the Group, Brand Principals and local regulations.
Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the management of product merchandising and inventory to ensure processes flow smoothly
• Evaluate and direct team in terms of sales performance and identify issues with an effective and efficient solution
• Monitor the visual merchandiser team to implement the brand’s standards and guidelines in all store concepts to boost sales achievement for the brands
• Review and make decisions related to planning and budgeting, buying, pricing, and price mark-down (up to certain level)
• Identify and analyze for new brand acquisition opportunity to support brand growth objectives.
• Maintain positive working relationship with all principals and customers (wholesale) to ensure the negotiating products and shipping prices are profitable for both sides 

Key Requirements:

• Education – bachelor’s degree, MBA degree is added advantage
• Experience min. 10 year in strategic area with deep expertise in merchandising and operation, preferably in retail
• Special skills – merchandising strategy, deep knowledge of kids and fashion footwear categories
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong leadership and presentation qualities
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to conduct in-depth research
• Highly motivated and creative individual
• Ability to work under pressure and handle stressful situations
• Results-driven individual
